Take It Easy when you stay at our 70s modernist retreat! This gem was originally conceived as a MIL apartment, attached to a fab 1978 post + beam designed by New England architect Stephen Blatt. It’s been lovingly restored for its second act, with care taken to keep the 70s groove going without compromising on comfort.
Heated floors in the bathroom, bedroom and living room mean you can shake off the Maine chill while recharging your batteries.
A luxury walk-in shower stocked with Malin + Goetz products helps you wash off the day’s adventures.
Lounge on the couch or in the bed to watch movies; sit on the deck or at the bar with your favorite drink…whatever makes you feel relaxed, man.

SNUG comfortably sleeps a couple, or a family with young-ish kids. If your older kids can stand sleeping within 10 feet of each other and hearing each other breathe, there are 2 pullouts in the spacious living room. If you have a really little one, let us know and we can be sure you have a crib and highchair during your stay.

Just about every manner of coffee-making available: Keurig, pour-over, French press, and regular drip. We also provide a variety of capsules, whole beans, sugar + such.

The kitchen should have just about everything you need to cook for yourself. The vintage 1970s stove and oven were in near mint condition and we couldn’t bear to trash them. Other than that, we’ve got pots, pans, baking supplies, a microwave, blender, toaster, etc. Sara is an avid cook and baker, and walked through our home kitchen taking notes on what was needed. We’ve also provided some great cookbooks full of simple, easy, and delicious recipes. If you don’t feel like cooking, there are great options in town…just a couple of minutes by car.

We have heated floors in the bedroom, bathroom and living room, in addition to a monitor heater and baseboards.
We do not currently have an AC…highs in the summer are typically in the 70s and lows in the 50s. We have sometimes turned the heat on in mid-July! We have never been uncomfortably hot in the summer without AC.

Olla House is a dog-friendly place. We provide a bed, a dog blanket, bowls, paw-wiping towels, poop bags, an extra leash, and a kennel. More on dogs right here.

Cancellation Policy:
100% refund, including cleaning fee, if you cancel within 24 hours of booking your stay, if you’ve booked 7+ days in advance).
100% + cleaning fee refund if you cancel at least 30 days before your check-in
80% + cleaning fee refund if you cancel 29 days before your check-in.
50% + cleaning fee refund if you cancel at least 14 days before your check-in
A refund of the cleaning fee if you cancel less than 14 days prior to check-in.
